 A great researcher should be open-minded as well as critical in their ideas. Furthermore, he or she must be hardworking, attentive, focused, and devoted to his or her specialized subject of interest.

Besides for a good researcher, updating his/her knowledge is critical and may be achieved in a variety of ways, including reading current literature, attending conferences, and sharing ideas with others working in a relevant subject.

Furthermore, in order to turn scientific questions and hypotheses into a workable methodology, a modern researcher must be imaginative and inventive. This point is very essential for a good researcher. 

A researcher must always be critical of himself and discuss techniques with his peers and superiors. A well-tested and designed procedure, including but not limited to solid inclusion and exclusion criteria, is essential for doing excellent research. The trick is to perform with discipline and attention. With any luck, an excellent researcher will also have a strong published track record!

Learning, reasoning or the capacity for inventive thinking, specialized scientific knowledge, memory, commitment to fulfilling timely tasks, and action nothing is out of reach for someone who exhibits these six traits. Learning, wisdom, technical experience, experience, achievements, and ongoing mentoring from famous mentors - any one of these qualities is sufficient to elevate the degree of a competent researcher. 

The person who possesses all of the favorable characteristics such as learning, etc., is deserving of the honorable title of researcher who bestows delight on all living beings.

It is relatively difficult to define the characteristics of a good researcher. However, it might be argued that these traits are largely required of a good researcher.
