The Indian High Commission in Dhaka is delighted to announce that, as in the past, notification for the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Scholarships for the academic session 2021-22 has been announced for the benefit of meritorious Bangladeshi nationals to pursue various courses in India at the Under Graduate, Post Graduate, and PhD levels, in all fields excluding Medicine, paramedical, and fashion.
Candidates interested in applying for an ICCR Scholarship should visit the URL http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in and create an individual login ID and password before making an online application.
Please take care of the following points:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and no more than 30 years old at the time of entry.
- Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry are required in the 11th and 12th grades for candidates qualifying for BE/B.Tech. courses.
- All students are required to reside in the hostels. No exceptions for family/health considerations to be off campus would be considered.
- Applicants will be eligible to apply to five universities/institutions in the order of their choosing.
- To test English literacy, a 500-word essay in English has been introduced. Furthermore, students should apply their TOFEL/IELTS/etc. scores if they have them, but this is not necessary.
- Mark sheets for each school level, i.e. level 10 and 10+2, as well as transcripts in English, should be uploaded. If the original documents are not in English, the applications would not be accepted until they are translated into English.
- All ICCR Scholarship students are required to obtain a medical insurance policy with a minimum amount guaranteed of Indian Rupees Five lakhs (equivalent to US$ 6800/-) per year.
